Why this needs to be a promise

Owners have watched apps shut down and take years of information with them. Clinic portals can hold history without making it easy for an owner to organize, annotate, or carry it elsewhere.

So BarkLens is specific rather than reassuring.

What that means concretely

Export the records at any time in a format you can open and bring to a veterinarian.
Canceling does not remove the chart. Records and export remain available.
Charts do not expire after a year, a subscription lapse, or a dog’s death.
Owner-added records are not removed to sell an upgrade.

What you add

BarkLens reads only the records you choose to add.

The laboratory report, visit summary, and values stay tied to the original record.

Nothing is added silently. You review each record before it becomes part of your dog’s chart.

Your data is not the product

Your dog’s health records are not sold, including in aggregate. Membership is the business model.
